Weather Review for July 25

The day was canceled at the morning meeting.

The evolution of the day followed the forecast well with the exception of bluer skies mid morning. With the mid level clouds dissipating until deep convection started, the morning looked very promising to get a task in. However, with clearer skies, the surface was able to heat rapidly and trigger TS earlier and deeper.

By 1:30 pm towering cumulus were just starting to produce rain over Signal Peak.

Winds at launch at Noon were gusting to 20 mph from the west, but quickly lightened up by 1 pm.

Other forecast elements are hard to validate or comment on given the widespread thunderstorms, heavy rains and lightening. Tomorrow will be more of the same, only with more moisture aloft for thunderstorms to tap into.
